The special Ballet Zaida Gallery, Felicity, is now online.
Felicity is a special Ballet Zaida Gallery consisting of 11 photos.
The definition of the word Felicity is, “A source of happiness.”
The pictures that have 4 mini photos in them are meant to be viewed from the upper left, to upper right, to bottom left, to bottom right.
What I really love about the Gallery, besides the cool framing and black and white, is that it’s a story told through photos. I created it with the intention that the story could be interpreted in several different ways. However, there is one specific story I had in mind when I created the Gallery. Here’s the story I had in mind.
Devon by chance discovers Ellen staring off into the distance. He introduces himself, and they begin to dance.
Through dance, they discover they have feelings towards each other.
Unfortunately, after they share their first and second to last kiss, Ellen discovers something is wrong.
Devon tries to stop Ellen from leaving.
What Devon doesn’t know though, is that he can’t stop her from leaving, because Ellen is dead. She died moments before he discovered her staring off into the distance.
From Ellen’s sadness and confusion, she runs away from Devon. And Devon, is left alone.
However, Devon is in love with Ellen. And unaware of her condition, decides to follow her.
A very sad Ellen awaits Devon on the beach. She takes his hand and wishes she never had to let go.
After sharing their last kiss together, Ellen floats away.
Ellen’s character’s name in this story, is Felicity.
